In 2001, Ankush came to the USA for graduate school. He earned his Master's degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University. After which he proceeded to work as a software engineer in Eugene, Oregon for 8 years.

In 2012, Ankush renounced the corporate culture, and walked away from his cubicle and his corporate career. He took a leap of faith and opened up Eugene's first and only float tank facility - Float Om.
